A teachers and parents "must have"
We sat around the dining room table, children and adults, one holiday evening last week laughing and crying over the words of such precious children we felt somehow we knew. Our children, Emi 6 years and Jon 4, asked meaningful questions and seemed to connect to the far away children living very different lives than they. Emi decided to take it to school and share "Jordan's" story, a girl from Texas, with her friends.
The point of the book, unlike most others, is a unique way for parents to help their children understand diversity and how special diversity is and that we should celebrate the uniqueness of all nationalities. This book is very special and will remain on our coffee table for all to see! My kids go back to the book every so often which impresses me. I think the pictures are awesome. The art is unexpectedly beautiful.
